Dropular

Dropular is the latest image bookmarking site to hit the internet created by the nice folks at Suprb. It’s well worth checking out and dare I say it, but so far I think I prefer it to the likes of ffffound and Digg.

You can become a follower of the Human Resources Dropular feed by clicking here.

Feltron

This is the fourth installment of Nicholas Feltron personal Annual Report. AR’s are generally pretty dry but Feltron has used his quirky data tracking site, Daytum, to create each report. Cool graphic elements but possible time to change up the style after 4 years. However, theres no denying he’s a very talented designer. You can see more of his commercial work at Megafone.

With 2009 coming ever closer, it is worth pointing that The Boston Globe (previously featured on hr in October) have just posted their photographic review of 2008. Fantastic.

Festive Greetings

Human Resources would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and the best of luck for 2009.

For us personally, it has been quite an amazing first six months and of course this would not have been possible without you. But the fun does not stop there, I’m delighted to inform you that 2009 will be an even more exciting year as our project evolves, and we hope to see you there with us.

As we say in Scotland, slange var!

Oddities

Oddities started out as a urbanwear store (Odd One Out), and now have created their own label. I love their mission statement “We work together under the name Oddities to promote the work of artist’s around us and to make honest designs out of our environment and various inspirations.”

Keep up the great work!

A quite amazing interview with the master, Stanley Kubrick. Interviewed by Jeremy Bernstein in 1966, it’s a whopping 90 minutes long. Also, do check out the advert for Kubrick Season on Channel 4, found below. Awesome.

Gastrotypographicalassemblage

Lou Dorfsman spent more than 40 years with CBS, and designed every aspect of the company’s advertising and corporate identity. This typeface was re-cut by Dorfsman, and has a Bodoni feel to it. He also created an interior for the cafeteria walls. Dorfsman enlisted support from life-long friend and design legend Herb Lubalin (designer of ITC Avant Garde).

Mac Premo

“A is for everything is always about to happen” is a handheld piece of art by Mac Premo. He works as an animator, commerical director, creative director, painter, illustrator and carpenter. ‘A’ very busy man.

East River Tattoo

If you ever find your self in Brooklyn and in need of a tattoo, this is the place to go. Influenced by maritime folk art and 19th century traditional tattoos.

Dancing Brids

Nice Art Direction from iwantdesign for London Dance International.

The Lake

This is one of the simplest animations I’ve seen in a long time but the addition of Antony has brought this higher than perfection itself.

More elephants…

Continuing on the elephant theme, this limited edition tee is from the amazing photographer Bruce Webber, who has stepped away from the ‘soft-porn’ nudes he usually does for likes of, Abercrombie & Fitch and Arena Home Plus. All in the aid of the Elephant Foundation.
